Ledum

TIP 1: Traditionally, the native Americans used ledum to fight scurvy and deal with coughs, hoarseness and kidney problems, and it was seen as the "cure all" in folk medicine.

TIP 2: Ledum has been shown to be a strong liver protectant and some have used it for conditions like hepatitis and fatty liver

TIP 3: Ledum has been shown to be beneficial for the thyroid, both overactive and underactive ones.

TIP 4: If you need to detoxify the liver and kidneys, you might want to try ledum.

TIP 5: Ledum has a calming effect if you are experiencing stomach upset or nervous indigestion and especially great for helping with cold and flu symptoms like nausea, aches and pains, congestion, sore throat and cough.

BONUS TIP: If you know someone going through chemotherapy, you may want to offer them some ledum. There are some who have experienced success with it lessening the nausea effects of the chemo!

* Not all oils or oil companies are the same! Young Living oils are THE ONLY oils I would trust with internal use! Occasionally an oil will feel "hot", if this happens, or you get an oil in your eye, add a carrier oil to dilute it, NEVER water, remember oil and water don't mix! A good carrier oil could be Young Living's V6 oil or something you cook with like olive or coconut oil.

PROPERTIES of Ledum include: Anti-inflammatory, sesquiterpenoids, calming.
