TIP 1: This oil has been used since...well...forever! It is one of the 3 gifts brought to baby Jesus at his birth! It was popular oil in ancient times and had many uses including as an anesthetic, during burial for embalming, an element of anointing oil, deodorizer and women used it as both a perfume and a cosmetic.

TIP 2: Myrrh can be helpful in the mouth with canker sores, and tooth and gum infections.

TIP 3: There is a reason the ancient women used myrrh as a cosmetic, since it can be helpful for wrinkles and chapped and cracked skin.

 

TIP 4: All you postpartum mommas who ended up with a stretch mark or two, you could always try rubbing a drop or two of myrrh on those spots and see if they can help fade them! And while you're at it, follow the traditions of the ancient women and anoint your newborn child's umbilical cord with myrrh.

 

TIP 5: There are several studies you can find on PubMed that show the work of researchers on myrrh and frankincense and their effect on various different types of cancer cells.

 

BONUS TIP: You can also try it topically on the thyroid and the adrenals to help with hypothyroidism.
